Scott Jacquish has served as General Manager of Bridgewater, New Jersey, based APS Corporation since 2003. A family business established by his father, Daniel F. Jacquish, in 1981, the firm began by providing design, installation, and maintenance services in the electronic security and life safety sphere. Over the years, the firm shifted its focus from residential to commercial and industrial projects, undertaking custom, high-end installations.

With summer work as an electrician behind him, Jacquish began working for APS part time as a high school student in the mid-1990s. By this time, the company had established a reputation for recruiting top installers, training staff members in such as way as to ensure top-notch service. While working towards a Business Administration degree at the College of New Jersey, Scott Jacquish began working full time at his father’s enterprise. Beginning in 1997 as a field technician performing light service and fire inspection duties, he was promoted in 2000 to a sales position. This experience gave Mr. Jacquish his first taste of the management side of the business.

In 2001, he established his own residential market-focused company, Integrated Protective Systems. Over the next two years, he focused on combining emerging home automation technologies with existing access control, closed-circuit television, and security system components. Mr. Jacquish notably established a close client relationship with a custom home builder that allowed him to complete his initial ten sales.

In late 2002, with his father was close to semi-retiring, Mr. Jacquish rejoined APS, taking his current role. Today, he manages day-to-day operations of a thriving firm with 18 employees and an estimated value of between $6 million and $8 million.
