Mike Blascik has navigated three different industries—fitness, IT, and retail energy—all to noteworthy success. Currently the President of Utility Selections, LLC, Mike Blascik leads the Tampa-based firm in securing contracts and undertaking a wide variety of business analytics. Mike Blascik has also demonstrated his strong ability to generate leads, oversee business development, and manage vendors.

Mike Blascik’s professional versatility is evident in his accomplishments as a Senior Technical Recruiter and Business Development Manager. A number of prominent firms have utilized Mike Blascik’s services in selecting highly qualified analysts, web developers, and project managers (among many other positions) to fit their business models. From 2005 to 2009, Mike Blascik placed numerous candidates with major investment banks, including Wachovia and Bank of America, retail outfits, and government organizations.

In addition, Mike Blascik has spent more than two decades assisting clients in meeting their fitness goals through his work with local health clubs, corporate wellness programs and private clients. Mike Blascik has coached young athletes at Tampa’s Leto High School to regional and state championship levels on many occasions. He was brought onto the coaching roster to assist in strength and conditioning, but also specialized in working with sprinters and long and triple jumpers. Throughout his tenure at Leto High School, Mike Blascik emphasized the importance of sportsmanship while employing advanced techniques, such as plyometric movements, interval training, and sports specific exercises.

A member of the International Fitness Professionals Association, Mike Blascik holds a Psychology degree from The University of Phoenix and is also a student at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he is studying Human Development.

In his leisure moments, Mike Blascik enjoys playing the guitar and percussion He has recorded tracks with Kristofer Routt’s 'Routt Zero.' When he is not expressing his musical talents, Mike Blascik also takes pleasure in reading, and he counts Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness and F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby among his most admired novels.
