In his role, Janasik assumes responsibility for quality control, menu execution, community involvement, restaurant operations, hiring, and management development. In addition to conducting equipment negotiations and finalizing food contracts, he created company materials such as maintenance checklists, manuals, actions plans, hiring guidelines, and performance goals.

Before joining CCG Restaurants in 2006, Mark Janasik worked as a District Manager for Waffle House, Inc., a famous restaurant chain in the Southeastern United States. He assumed responsibility for the profitability and operations of three stores for which he oversaw a management team and each restaurant’s staff. As a District Manager, Janasik made significant contributions as a top operator. He was also known as one of the strongest team-builders who empowered his staff to perform well and exceed budgetary goals.

As a District Manager, Mark Janasik focused tirelessly on the interview process and hired candidates based on their ability to strengthen the organization. He looked for people who were open-minded and competitive, and who worked well in a team environment. While he looked at the individual’s past education and experience, he considered other factors, such as the candidate’s ability to handle pressure in the real world, as equally important to examine before making the final determination to bring someone aboard. His innovative approach to the hiring process gave him and his team the tools to hire individuals who were as dedicated to service and teamwork as he was, which in turn created a world-class service organization.

Prior to joining Waffle House, Janasik spent five years as an Insurance Broker with Southern States Insurance, Inc., which specialized in writing insurance programs for the restaurant industry.

Mark Janasik holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he was a member of the men’s tennis team.
