Lesnevich and Madeline Marzano-Lesnevich. Possessing more than 20 years of experience in matrimonial law, Madeline Marzano-Lesnevich serves as a Partner and head of its Family Law Department. Named a New Jersey Monthly magazine Super Lawyer every year since first receiving the honor in 2005, Ms. Marzano-Lesnevich applies her impressive background in the field of family litigation toward helping her clients and providing guidance to colleagues and law students.
At Lesnevich & Marzano-Lesnevich, Madeline Marzano-Lesnevich oversees a team of 11 attorneys tasked with defending clients in cases of family law. Her expertise extends to all areas of matrimonial litigation, including prenuptial agreements, child custody and support disputes, grandparents’ rights, and issues of dissolution. Outside of her firm, Ms. Marzano-Lesnevich seeks to elevate the resources available to her colleagues and advocates on behalf of her fellow family law attorneys through professional involvement. Some of her current roles include President of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and member of the Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Family Law Section.
After completing her undergraduate education at Columbia University and her Master’s degree at The City College of New York, Madeline Marzano-Lesnevich set her sights on a Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law-Newark, obtaining the degree in 1989. Immediately following, she helped establish Lesnevich & Marzano-Lesnevich and launched her career in law. She has since attained certification in matrimonial law from the New Jersey Courts’ Board of Attorney Certification and received accreditation and Fellowship status from the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Other professional highlights of her career include earning the New Jersey State Bar Association Distinguished Legislative Service Award in 1996 and serving on the New Jersey Supreme Court Family Practice Committee.
