A graduate of New York University School of Law with a Master of Laws in Labor and Employment Law, Lisa M. Poursine currently serves as an Associate Attorney at the Law Office of Bohdan Neswiacheny, a firm specializing in insurance defense, employment law, and compliance consulting.
Working from the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office, Poursine represents clients at hearings and mediations, takes and defends depositions, assists employers in complying with federal and state employment laws, and summarizes depositions in connection with employment law and insurance defense cases.
Lisa M. Poursine began her career in 2004 as a Contract Attorney at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, L.L.P., in New York City. In that position, she was responsible for reviewing the work of a pool of contract attorneys and providing feedback and instruction to professional case teams. Her efforts resulted in increased productivity and fewer coding errors.
From 2005 to 2009, she served as a Staff Attorney at the New York offices of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, L.L.P. Working in the firm’s litigation department, she supervised contract attorneys, performed quality control, reviewed documents and drafted memoranda. She also represented pro bono clients in court and in administrative proceedings. From there, Lisa Poursine relocated to Florida, where she took a position as Associate at Allen, Norton & Blue, P.A., in Miami. In that role, she represented employers in a wide range of state and federal employment law cases, including issues related to the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Florida Civil Rights Act.
Lisa M. Poursine holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Georgetown University. Away from work, she is a professional actress. A member of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and the Actors’ Equity Association under the name “Lisa McKellar,” Lisa Poursine graduated from the prestigious William Esper Studio’s two-year professional actor-training program. She has appeared in a number of theater and film productions.
