Textile designer and artist Kassana Holden owns Bergamot Studio, LLC, a project she has pursued since leaving her job as Design Director for Eddie Bauer Home & Licensing in 2010. At Bergamot Studio, Ms. Holden provides a variety of services including textile design, digital printing, and home décor consultations.
Kassana Holden possesses an extensive background in design. Prior to establishing her own company, she worked as a Design Director for noted outdoor clothing and outerwear retailer Eddie Bauer. She held this position for 10 years, rising steadily through the Home department as a designer. In addition to her artistic talents, Ms. Holden showed great aptitude for business, working with licensing partners to relaunch textile work in the Eddie Bauer Home and Eddie Bauer Lodge labels.
Even in college, Holden knew that she wanted to study textile design. Graduating from Goddard College in Vermont in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art Textiles, she continued to pursue education in her field in the state of Washington, studying drawing and printmaking at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, as well as industrial design and photography and advanced digital imaging at the University of Washington.
When she is not involved in design projects, Kassana Holden participates in charitable activities. She supports the efforts of Amnesty International and Women for Women International. Ms. Holden also maintains a keen interest in locally grown and sustainable food initiatives, contributing to the Food Alliance, which certifies sustainable food in the United States, and working at the Kitsap Community Food Co-op.
In her leisure time, she enjoys gardening, traveling, and cooking.
