Jeff Bowler - Film and TV Producer
Film and television producer Jeff Bowler entered the industry through his position at Bandai, the third largest toy company in the world, where he helped secure the product license for the popular Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Due to his success at Bandai, the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) recruited him for the position of Director of Business Development. In this role, Jeff Bowler was responsible for the growth of new media business. He also helped launch the company’s film and music divisions. During his tenure, WWE enjoyed record-breaking ratings for television productions and developed Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson into a movie star.
Jeff Bowler left WWE to launch his own production company, Foglight Entertainment, based in New York City and Santa Monica, California. With this firm, he produced many television shows prior to selling the business in 2003. He then established Insomnia Media Group, through which he developed exclusive relationships with MTV Networks and Fox Television Studios. Jeff Bowler also joined Fox Television Studios as a Producer and notably created the concept behind the reality television show, Inked in addition to other television series. He also has movie credits including The Grand and Across the Hall, starring celebrities including Woody Harrelson, Brittany Murphy, and Ray Romano.
A member of the Producers Guild of America, Jeff Bowler is noted as the youngest invited speaker at the National Association of Television Program Executives. Currently, he is working on two films in Hong Kong and also producing in China. In 2009, the Academy Awards selected Bowler’s Downstream documentary as a potential Academy Award nominee. Jeff Bowler is currently working on a number of films and TV shows.
