An accomplished scientist, academic administrator, and consultant, Dr. Hal Raveche spans decades in a variety of fields. For his work, Dr. Raveche has received two honorary doctorates, from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, and the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. Dr. Raveche has been featured on televisions programs, served on corporate boards, and championed research partnerships around the world.

Because of his accomplishments, Dr. Hal Raveche has been invited to participate in several high-profile think tanks. He co-chaired The Council on Competitiveness and led the creation of the report “Winning the Sills Race,” which was a key influence on revisions to federal policy for workforce training. Dr. Raveche also sat on The National Science Foundation’s Visiting Committee on Scientific Computing and on the board of the New Jersey Corporation for Advanced Technology. He has been featured on CNBC World, Bloomberg Television, BBC World News, Fox Business, and other television broadcasts.

Dr. Hal Raveche’s work in the international field includes both commercialization ventures and the establishment of academic partnerships with institutions in other countries. He serves on the board of Biogen, a company in the Dominican Republic that transforms waste biomass into low-cost power and heat with a100% green process. Dr. Raveche also serves as a Director of Vision Technology Systems in Alexandria, VA. He is promoting entrepreneurship and innovation for business growth and economic development in India, Korea, Taiwan, and Malaysia.

Dr. Hal Raveche also established ties between Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and Stevens Institute of Technology, where he formerly served as President. Dr. Raveche held this post for more than 20 years, building the school into one of the top innovators in the country and a leader in return on investment for research and development. Forbes.com LLC ranked the institution third in the nation in 2008 for return on R&D.

Dr. Hal Raveche studied at Hofstra University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and then completing doctoral studies at the University of California, San Diego, studying with pioneering figures in statistical mechanics and physical chemistry. He worked as a chemist and participated in a number of successful technology development programs before beginning his career in academic administration in the mid-1980s. Dr. Raveche currently serves as President of the consulting firm Innovation Strategies International, LLC.
