Guven Uzun, MD, is a board-certified neurologist specializing in brain and spinal injuries. A physician with two decades of experience in medicine, he is the President and CEO of the Beverly Hills Pain Institute & Neurology. The Beverly Hills Pain Institute & Neurology is also home to the Beverly Hills Wellness Center. These establishments combine preventive health promotion with treatment services in order to provide optimal care for patients. Adhering to an integrative approach when working with patients, Dr. Uzun is dedicated to not only treating their conditions, but also preventing new health problems from arising.
Prior to his practice in Beverly Hills, Uzun received extensive medical training through Tufts University, the University of Pittsburgh, and Columbia University. After finishing an internship in the School of Medicine at Emory University in 1993, he began a two-year term as a research fellow at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons. He went on to complete a surgery internship at Columbia in addition to a three-year neurology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. In 1999, he continued to pursue his specialization in neurology at the Tufts Comprehensive Stroke Center, where he completed a year-long fellowship. Relocating to California in 2000, Dr. Uzun served as the Director of Neurovascular Services at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Los Angeles. He would become Beverly Hills Pain Institute & Neurology’s President and CEO the following year.
In addition to his state medical license, Dr. Uzun is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology, Inc. He is a member of several medical organizations dedicated to the fields of neurology and pain management.
