Dr. Marvell Scott is a sports medicine specialist and founder/President of Performance Health in New York City. With offices in Manhattan, Pomona, and a fitness center in the Blue Hill Plaza of Pearl River, Performance Health has established itself as a premier care center for sports injuries and treatments of all kinds.

Dr. Scott holds the following qualifications:

New York Board certified M.D.

Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)

Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine (FACM)

All About Dr. Scott:

Dr. Marvell Scott received his medical degree from the Wright State School of Medicine in Dayton, OH. While pursuing his degree, Dr. Scott was also a sports broadcaster for Dayton’s local station WABC. His love and passion for sports and athletics helped the doctor determine his specialty of sports medicine.

Once completed with his studies, Dr. Scott completed his residency at Mount Sinai Cabrini Medical Center in Dayton. His impressive service during his residency allowed him to receive the distinguished Robert Wood Johnson Wood fellowship from the University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey.

The UMDNJ fellowship allowed Dr. Scott to treat an impressive number of amateur and professional athletes. He worked with student athletes as a staff physician for Princeton and Rutgers. He also worked with professional athletes from both Major League Baseball and the National Football League. His service at UMDNJ served to increase the doctor’s knowledge, experience, and passion for his field.
