Dr. Ben Ramaley graduated with an MD 39 years ago and practices obstetrics and gynecology in Greenwich and Southport, Connecticut.
Dr. Ramaley began his education at The Ohio State University, where he studied history. After graduating with his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1969, he immediately entered medical school at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he studied medicine until 1973. Moving on to St. Vincent Hospital-Manhattan in New York, Ben Ramaley completed his yearlong rotating internship. From 1974 to 1978, he fulfilled his residency at the New York Hospital of Cornell Medical Center (now New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center).
Dr. Ben Ramaley began his career with a position at Langan & Ramaley, PC, which grew into Brookside Obstetrics and Gynecology. This briefly coincided with his employment as a gynecologist at Purchase College, State University of New York.
During almost three decades of work with Brookside, Dr. Ramaley advanced to become a senior partner, then moved his talents to the Southport Women’s Group. Today, he maintains affiliations with the Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He is a member of the Connecticut State Medical Society, the American Medical Association, and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Away from work, Dr. Ben Ramaley donates his time as part of the Board of Directors for the Greenwich Water Polo team. He also enjoys outdoor activities, especially gardening, golf, and softball.
