Alvin Amante DDS is presently an Instructor of Clinical Dentistry at the University of Rochester. Dr. Amante works as a Pediatric Dentist in the Community Dentistry Division of the Eastman Institute for Oral Health, serving the schoolchildren of the Rochester City School District.
Alvin Amante DDS finished an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at the Eastman Dental Center at the University of Rochester in 2000. After he completed the two-year program, he moved to Seattle, Washington and worked as a general dentist for a private company. He has also volunteered his time with Medical Teams International. The global organization operates on the principle that everyone is entitled to live a full and healthy life, and strives to make this possible for those affected by poverty, disease, and conflict. Alvin Amante DDS volunteered for the organization, his time spent providing dental services to homeless youth in Seattle and the residents of the shantytowns of Oaxaca, Mexico.
Alvin Amante DDS returned to the University of Rochester’s Eastman Institute of Oral Health in 2008, where he received his two-year residency training in Pediatric Dentistry, graduating from the program in 2010.
Alvin Amante DDS continues his work with the less fortunate as part of his present role as Clinical Instructor. Serving as Site Director for the Smile Mobile Program, he helps ensure that the schoolchildren of Rochester’s inner city have access to dental care.
