Oscar Loureiro, an individual who has achieved professional success in the manufacturing and construction industries, began his professional career after pursuing higher education. During his time at Northeastern, he took courses in economics, swam and played tennis in his spare time.
After returning to Peru in the 1980s, Loureiro took advantage of the country’s economic climate by opening a small textile confections shop. At a time when Peru was closed to all imports, he supplied various types of clothing internally throughout the country. For entertainment and exercise, he would go to the Terrazas Miraflores Tennis Club in Lima.
In the early 1990s, Oscar Loureiro teamed up with fellow investors to form a transport company by the name of Empresa Transp. Serv. Multi Cedros S.A. As Manager, he oversaw and coordinated the different bus lines providing transportation for people and the fleet of trucks carrying cargo to all parts of Peru.
Most recently, in 2003, Loureiro founded Constructora Manco Capac, E.I.R.L, a construction company, which he directs as General Manager. In this capacity, his duties include administrative oversight of all aspects of the company, from hiring staff and marketing company services to making sure construction jobs go according to schedule.
Today, Oscar Loureiro has stopped participating in construction, instead focusing on managing a number of properties he acquired over the years.
