Michael Gardner’s team seeks out startups and small-to-medium enterprises that offer strategic value through under-recognized market-disruptive technologies. Baytree Capital currently invests in Kiosk Solutions, Inc., and RAE Systems, Inc. Baytree Capital has also directed significant investments in Northeast Asia and recently opened an auxiliary office in Hong Kong. Michael Gardner and his associates have notably financed Kingold Jewelry, Inc., as minority partners. This Wuhan, China-based firm manufactures platinum and gold products at highly competitive prices and has expanded rapidly over the past decade.
Michael Gardner has also sought out a unique investment project in the refurbishment of Bran Castle. Located in Romania’s famed Transylvania region, the historic castle notably inspired Bram Stoker’s horror novel Dracula. Baytree Capital’s involvement in the project encompasses all aspects of strategic preservation and renovation. Michael Gardner’s philanthropic endeavors include service as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, as a Trustee of Oklahoma City University, and as a Trustee of NYU Langone Medical Center.
