Lauri Fitz-Pegado - Partner at The Livingston Group

Lauri Fitz-Pegado currently serves as a Partner at Washington, D.C.-based The Livingston Group, a public policy and government relations firm that counsels clients in the areas of health care, telecommunications, energy, and military defense, among others. At The Livingston Group, Fitz-Pegado focuses her efforts on economic development and international relations, offering advice to public and private sector clients. Lauri Fitz-Pegado draws on her extensive experience in the field to help clients implement effective, actionable strategies and directives.
Before assuming her post with The Livingston Group, Lauri Fitz-Pegado held a number of influential positions in the nation's capital. From 1997 to 2000, she worked for Iridium LLC, the original provider of satellite and paging technology. As Vice President of Global Gateway Management at Iridium, she proffered strategic advice to more than a dozen global corporations and secured licensing in numerous countries. In her next position as Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Communications, Lauri Fitz-Pegado directed the communication strategies and tactics at all levels including senior management, board members, and investors. She also coordinated efforts to promote Iridium's image externally including the media. Earlier in her career, Lauri Fitz-Pegado spent four years with the United States and Foreign Commercial Service, working in the Department of Commerce to promote exports in locations such as Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. Additionally, as Director General, she facilitated relationships with small businesses in the United States and led the department in penetrating influential emerging markets by creating commercial hubs.
Lauri Fitz-Pegado completed her undergraduate education at Vassar College where she graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She holds a Master's degree in International Affairs from The Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at The Johns Hopkins University.
