Gabriel Cousens - Health Advocate and Doctor
Founder and Director of the Tree of Life Foundation, Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center, Essene Order of Light, and Culture of Life Institute, Gabriel Cousens holds licenses in a wide array of disciplines. Dr. Cousens earned his medical degree in 1969 and became a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners the following year. In 1972, he garnered a California medical license, and in 1973, he became a board-eligible psychiatrist.
After more than a decade of medical practice, Gabriel Cousens earned licensure as a homeopathic physician in the state of Arizona. Dr. Cousens became a Diplomate of Ayurveda and the American Board of Holistic Medicine in the 2000s before earning his Doctor of Divinity and becoming an ordained rabbi. Gabriel Cousens’ education includes a Bachelor of Arts from Amherst College, a medical degree from Columbia Medical School, an internship at Mt. Zion Hospital, training at the Boston Family Institute, a psychiatry residency at Napa State Hospital, and a psychiatry residency at Boston State Hospital.
Dr. Cousens has also completed a medical acupuncture course at the University of California, Los Angeles; seminars in acupuncture; seven years’ of study involving nutrition; and a four-year homeopathic course. Gabriel Cousens maintains membership in the National Center for Homeopathy, the Arizona Homeopathic Integrative Medical Association, the American Holistic Medical Association, and the scientific research society Sigma Xi. He is listed on the Strathmore, National Register, and State of California’s Who’s Who lists as well as the International Who’s Who of Professionals.
