David Ralston possesses extensive knowledge and experience in the fields of health law and regulatory compliance. Mr. Ralston has provided expertise in issues involving anti-corruption, FDA compliance, government price reporting, commercial contracts, and numerous other legal areas to companies throughout the United States. In his current position as Senior Director of Business Conduct for Gilead Sciences, he relies on the insight and comprehension of regulatory law he has gained over the course of his collegiate and professional career.

A Texas Exes Scholarship Recipient,Ralston earned a Bachelor of Arts in the Interdisciplinary Honors Program of the University of Texas at Austin. Shortly after graduation, Mr. Ralston continued his education at the University of Houston (UH) Law Center, earning a Juris Doctor in Health Law and receiving one of three Distinguished Service Awards.

During his career at UH, Mr. Ralston served as President of the Health Law Organization and held membership in the LGBT Law Student Association. He then supplemented his credentials with a Masters of Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He focused on Health Care Regulatory Issues and his thesis on regulatory barriers to adequate treatment of pain was used by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners as a basis for passing regulatory legislation.

After obtaining various degrees, Mr. Ralston entered the workforce, beginning a career focused on health law and the regulations involving pharmaceutical and health care companies. He served as an Associate in Legal Services for Jenkens & Gilchrest, a Senior Legal Director for Schering Plough Pharmaceuticals, and as Section Head for Abbott Laboratories.

He now utilizes the wealth of experience and aptitude to lead a team of five attorneys and three compliance professionals as they assist Gilead Science's business colleagues with FDA off-label promotion compliance, privacy concerns, and corruption issues.
