A student at The Ohio State University, Alissa Ohashi will earn her Bachelor's in Strategic Communications in June of 2012. In addition to her academic career, she has held a series of successful jobs and internships.

Between 2005 and 2011, she served as a manager, promotional model, and brand ambassador for DBC America. Increasing consumer awareness of the company's promotions through individual communication, Ohashi distributed product samples and printed materials. The position created a strong foundation for Ms. Ohashi’s future career in public relations. She has also completed internships with The CW Columbus' Street Team and The Ohio State University’s Buckeye Bullet Team.

Today, she works as a manager at Pop's Pizza in Cable, Ohio. Ms. Ohashi accepted a shift leader position at the restaurant in 2005 and quickly earned promotions to Assistant Manager and General Manager. Responsible for all scheduling and payroll, as well as inventory, cash, and daily operations, she has demonstrated her ability to communicate effectively in the workplace. 

An avid traveler, Alissa Ohashi has explored much of the United States and several cities in Mexico. While abroad, she participated in such high-adrenaline activities as zip-lining and scuba diving. She hopes to undertake further international travels, to countries including Japan, Spain, Greece, and Italy.

In her spare time, Ms. Ohashi finds great pleasure in writing. An author of poetry, fiction, and songs, she has also incorporated her talents into her professional work, writing press releases, blog posts, and articles.
